The idea is starting small: enjoy the little possibilities that the lowest level of Hostgator’s hosting offers and from there create a series of projects.
The basic version is really basic including only WordPress, PHP and MySQL as possible tools. For a Ruby backend developer like me it is a good challenge to learn how to explore frontends tricks, PHP structure and MySQL optimizations.

If you have visited my home page, you will noticed that there are 4 four cards + the index itself. In this page I will limit myself to illustrate the homepage, and about me.

Homepage

For the homepage of stefanoproject.com I took heavy inspiration from this codepen project of Andy Merskin. The idea of creating cards for each projects was inspiring and I decided to use it.

His project was written in Vue.js and I use this opportunity to improve my skills with this library. Andy Merskin limits his idea to “cards”, I introduce in my homepage the concept of “decks”. In this way if I have multiple projects that are similar to each other (like the Math ones), then they will show a new series of “cards”.

About me

“About me” project is an updated version of my old website that I used to search job. I am thinking to rewrite it completely from zero since it uses a very old version of Bootstrap.

However after updating some information, removing curriculum vitæ and some personal information, I noticed that it was enough good looking and, for the moment, I decided to keep it. Team that win does not need to be changed!
